Massage service for mums and mums-to-be. Pregnancy Massage
Massage during and after pregnancy is a great way counteract the physical demands pregnancy makes on a woman’s body.
City Haven is very proud to offer an antenatal and postnatal massage service for mums and mums-to-be. Charlotte and her team perform pregnancy services at the clinic.
City Haven Pregnancy Massage Services
For pregnant clients, massage takes place on a massage table using a ‘belly mat’, an exquisitely comfortable cushion with grooves for the belly and the breasts. A pregnancy massage treatment with the aid of our belly mat is an experience that can be a relief in itself!
Antenatal and postnatal massage usually involves a combination of both remedial and relaxation massage techniques, depending on the client’s requirements. Having worked with long-term antenatal patients in the hospital setting, as well as postnatal women soon after birth, Charlotte has a good understanding of the specific physical and emotional stresses of pregnancy and childbirth - particularly since she is a mum herself.
For women confined to bed-rest for periods of their pregnancy, massage is an excellent way to improve circulation and counteract the stiffness and pain associated with prolonged inactivity.
Charlotte and her team performs pregnancy services at the clinic. Visits are billed at the standard rates for these services.

Please note that our mobile massage service is only available during normal business hours Monday to Friday, to selected suburbs.
We have after-hours clinic availability at our Parkville and Doncaster East locations with evening appointments as well as Saturday morning availability for those clients needing a massage outside normal business hours.

Rates for mobile home visits
Mobile rates are based on home visits to Melbourne city and surrounding inner city suburbs. For locations outside of the inner city, please contact Charlotte for a quote. Also note some outer suburb availability will be subject to the availability of the therapist based in your area.
Remember, we offer after hours clinic appointments on selected evenings as well as Saturday mornings at Parkville and Doncaster East.

Corporate seated massage has recently been increasing in popularity with office-based workplaces as an enjoyable, health-oriented reward for employees.

Seated massage in the workplace
For corporate seated massage, a City Haven therapist visits your workplace at a suitable time. A portable ergonomic massage chair is assembled in an appropriate place and employees take turns in receiving a massage.
Clients remained fully clothed and seated massage focuses on the back, neck, shoulders, arm and hands. Massage duration ranges from 10 mins to 30 mins depending on your requirements, time availability and number of staff. A two-hour corporate massage booking can accommodate 12 people for 10mins each.
Alternatively, individual massages can be performed at an employee’s desk. However, for the best result, City Haven recommends the use of the massage chair.
We work with a variety of people of all ages Nursing Home Massage
Living in an aged care facility can be quite an adjustment. With the need to be in care, also means you have your fair share of aches and pains.
City Haven Massage Therapy provides therapists who visit Mercy Place Parkville, to provide Remedial massage services to permanent and respite residents. Parkville.
We work with a variety of people of all ages living with health conditions including Motor Neurones disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, Anxiety, Arthritis and Cancer .
We offer nursing home massage sessions of 30 , 45 and 60 minute durations. Our caring therapist can visit residents in their own room and provide a massage treatment in their existing bed or chair. Inactivity can cause a lot of discomfort so we can help you gently move your joints and help you relax muscles that have become tense through poor posture.
At City Haven Massage Therapy we believe that everyone can improve their health and well-being no matter what their age.
We currently work with a variety of residents some who range from being completely non-verbal and unable to walk to those who are quite independent. Our approach is tailored to suit each individuals need. Our therapists trained in Oncology Massage can provide very gentle techniques for our palliative residents.
Our therapist team hold a minimum of an Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy, current police checks, full comprehensive insurance, are all members of associations and hold senior first aid qualifications. We always provide these to the nursing homes we visit.

Current Covid-19 Pandemic changes
To protect our aged care customers, our service to nursing homes is currently only provided to Mercy Place Parkville. We can visit elderly clients in their own home as part of care packages.
